AMD has announced a price reduction for all of its Ryzen 9000 CPUsAMD

First, keep in mind that AMD says these prices are temporary due to a limited Christmas offer. On top of that, they say they can’t get discounts up to a certain amount in any store or none at all. However, if we can get them at this low price, this is how the CPUs compare.

The flagship Ryzen 9 9950X is the biggest price drop, with a $50 discount that will drop the starting price from $599 to $549. Also, that’s a whopping $150 less than the Ryzen 9 7950X’s initial launch price. The Ryzen 9 9950X is currently selling for $599 on Amazon, though that price comes on the heels of a recent $50 discount that can be mentioned here. Within the United Kingdom, the price drops from £610 to £560.

Now just eight weeks after launch, the Ryzen 9 9900X dropped $30 from $499 to $469, reducing the starting price of the Ryzen 9 7900X to $90 The CPU itself has already dropped below this point, now on sale is only $429 on Newegg. The Ryzen 9 9900X, currently available for slightly less than this, for example at Overclockers UK, will experience a further price drop in the UK, from £460 to under £400

The Ryzen 7 9700X originally cost $359, and is now only $329 after a $30 discount. Unsurprisingly, the price has dropped significantly due to the discount, currently costing $326 on Amazon. UK PC fans will see the price cut from £340 to £310, and Overclockers is indeed available in the UK for £309.

Lastly, the six-core Ryzen 5 9600X will also be $30 cheaper than its predecessor at launch, going from $279 to $249. In the UK, £270 to £230 the price is a hefty £40 discount, with Currys taking out as little as £229. Newegg seems to be following suit, with the CPU now selling for $249.

The price drop coincides with AMD’s announcement today that its Ryzen 9000 3D V-Cache processor will begin production on November 7, as well as Intel’s Core Ultra 200 series of desktop CPUs expected to arrive this week with the Z890 motherboard. Other variants may arrive later, including the Ryzen 7 9800X3D revealed last week by motherboard maker MaxSun, should be carried in.
