India’s struggling telecom giant Vodafone Idea successfully reduced its consolidated net loss to ₹7,176 crore from ₹8,737 crore in the previous year The company posted a net loss of ₹6,432 crore in the last quarter.

Capex expenditure rose to ₹1,360 crore in the third quarter, with an ambitious target of ₹8,000 crore in the second half of FY25. CEO Akshay Moondra highlighted Vodafone Idea’s rapid 4G expansion, which increased data capacity by 14% and expanded coverage to an additional 22 million users, providing an 18% improvement in 4G speeds.
Moondra also announced new long-term capex deals worth $3.6 billion with Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung to support network growth over the next three years “Following our successful capital raising, our network expansion will affect a planned investment of ₹500 to ₹550 billion over… the next three years for our services.” The Impressive Growth Path will ensure that,” Moondra said.
