All Gemini users can now generate images using Imagen 3. Along with Gems, Imagen 3 was revealed in August after being seen in advance at I/O 2024 in May. As per Google, Imagen 3 offers enhanced text rendering, improved fast comprehension, better-quality pictures, and greater versatility.
In a post on X by the Google Gemini App, Google stated, “Imagen 3 is our highest quality image generation model yet, bringing an even higher degree of photorealism, better instruction following, and fewer distracting artifacts than ever before.”
Users must give instructions beginning with “draw,” “generate,” or “create” and specifying the desired style—such as photorealistic, watercolor, painting, or cartoon illustration—in order to use the functions. The SynthID watermark is applied when consumers download the image that Gemini tells them it is developing using Imagen 3. Digital watermarks are immediately embedded into AI-generated images, music, text, or video by SynthID, which watermarks and identifies AI-generated content, according to Google.
It is currently not possible for users to generate photos of persons for free. English early access to this feature was first made available by Google in May to Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise users.
